Carl Taylor

Carl Taylor has considerable experience of developing and producing textbooks for print and the internet for use in secondary schools, adult education and vocational training. He was the publisher and co-author of English G Neu (Cornselsen, Berlin), which had a market share of almost 50% of German schools. Carl Taylor was employed by the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman to design a national curriculum for English at elementary and secondary school levels.

Udo Hennig is a private tutor, author for language learning materials and an advisor with a special interest in language teaching and learning methodology.
He has been working as a teacher for over 30 years, as a teacher trainer/educator for 26 years and as an author of language teaching/learning materials for over 20 years.
For the last ten the years particular focus of his work has been the challenges arising from the digital media, the insights of constructivism as a paradigm for teaching and learning as well as the insights of the neurosciences as complementary and guiding principles for materials development based on the methodological ideas of the CEFR.

Neal Taylor guided the digital development of the eLearning courses and apps. He previously worked for the educational publisher Ernst Klett in Germany. He was responsible for the publication of numerous titles in the language department. He studied at the School of Management, University of Bath and at the Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany. He also studied Arabic at the Sultan Qaboos College of Arabic for Non-native speakers. He is responsible for the general administration and upkeep of the site.

Sara is an Arabic teacher in Germany. She studied Arabic at the University of Leipzig together with Arabic cross-cultural studies, law and business.

She is a teacher at a specialised language school in Germany. She authored ArabicOnline and ‘A Guide to Writing Arabic’ and regularly organises trips to the Middle-East with students.

Locusta was using electronic devices (as Commodore and Amstrad consoles) before PCs arrived and was using telematic services as BBS, Compuserve, NewsGroups and Mail on Internet before WWW later arrived in 1991.
He obtained his doctorate in Computing Science from the University of Turin in 1990, oriented towards “Systemistic Cybernetic” (Artificial Intelligence).
He programs in many languages, such as: C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, ASP, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, Perl, PHP, ActionScript 2, ActionScript 3.
He is interested in creating dynamic services on the web, combining the latest technology with designintegrating VRML and Web3D, CMS and portals, e-learning, e-commerce, Web 2.0, social networking, mobile Internet.

Jeroen Lichtenauer

Programming and App development

Dr Jeroen F Lichtenauer was previously employed as a teacher and researcher in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, London, United Kingdom.
His fields of research include: automatic information extraction, -processing and -understanding from video-, audio- and sensor measurements of spontaneous human behaviour, as well as camera calibration, 3D pose estimation and mapping of photos onto 3D models.
Jeroen sees technology as being a useful tool for learning and self analysis. He has a particular interest in Nonviolent communication and recently developed “Voice Vessel”, a tool that helps emotional understanding through human interactions, in real-time.
